120V AC to 9V DC for LED

Added by Joseph Bailey on May 15, 2011

A 120V 60Hz signal generator simulates the electricity from a wall plug in a United States home. This model shows how one would decrease the voltage to 9V and rectify it then smooth the output. Then one would limit the Amps to the LED. This would turn the LED on without burning it out. What I would've added is a 5V fixed voltage regulator. It would keep the output at a constant +5V.
