Forming an Image

This activity aims to show how to construct a simple ray diagram that places a real image after a convex lens. Pupils interact with the light rays and screen in some models of ray diagrams.

This item teaches:

  • the construction of ray diagrams to demonstrate the formation of an image by a converging lens
  • the nature of the image produced by a converging lens
