Installation FAQs

This page contains some common questions about installation and their answers.

Q. How do your RM CC3 installers work?

A. Our CC3 installer has been designed to un-package a standard MSI bundle into an RM CC3 friendly folder structure, complete with placeholder program shortcuts. To install on a CC3 network server, simply run the CC3 installer and set the installation location to your Applications folder.

Q. Do I have to activate Yenka on every client machine on my network?

A. No, you do not. You should first activate Yenka on your server by running the application and following the activation steps. Then when you deploy Yenka to your client machines, it will be installed pre-activated and ready to go.

Q. Why would I need to install the Registry Patch Installer you provide?

A. If you are running Yenka from a shared network folder, you may find that RealPCB (in the Yenka Technology Addon) will not run. The registry patch installer is used to install the necessary RealPCB registry settings to overcome this problem.

Q. When I try to install the product I get a message saying "An unidentified program wants access to your computer". What does this mean?

A. This means that the Yenka installer is not digitally signed. If you receive this message, press 'Allow' to continue the installation. Please note that Yenka is fully compatible with Windows Vista and Windows XP.
