An interactive animation demonstrating the independence of horizontal and vertical motion for falling bodies. A motorcyclist attempts to clear a lake full of crocodiles. Click the arrow button to start the animation. Use the green slider to vary the speed of the motorcyclist to see whether they make the jump.
