Type of Ball and Max Height of Bounce
Added by R D Gavin on Dec 15, 2008
This simulation shows balls of different materials being dropped onto a surface. A graph measures the displacement to show how far each ball rebounds.
This item teaches:
- about kinetic energy
- about the variation in potential energy, kinetic energy and total energy with displacement
- about energy transformations involving kinetic energy
- about the dependance of kinetic energy on mass and speed
