Wiring Practice

In this activity students have to wire together an extension block, a transformer, and a lamp. Students are expected to be able to connect a number of appliances in parallel and link earth cables to a common earth. They are taught to lay out wiring clearly and work methodically.

- about parallel circuits
- about the protection provided by the earth wire and fuses
- about the applications of parallel circuits
- about examples of applications of electric circuits
- about the connection of charged bodies to the earth via a conductor
- about the earthing of appliances with metal cases
